When my 19-year old daughter Emma is high on life, it is infectious.
Emma hates rising early but she will have to be out the door by 6:50A all summer to catch a 7:38A train from Grand Central to her summer internship with a sports marketing company. Today, she made it out the door only a few minutes late, for her a slightly miraculous feat, and after my run, Find My Phone confirmed she made the train.
8:53A she texts this picture to our family chat. 8:57A she tells us she likes the early train because it lets her walk leisurely with a stop at Dunkin' for coffee. It filled my heart with gladness for her that she could see all the positives and potential in her summer and forget about her 2 hour commute.
